Perry & Aktiesport expand partnership with OTYS

Thanks to OTYS, store managers at Perry & Aktiesport can now manage their own online job applications since the beginning of December 2021. OTYS built a Line Managers Portal for this purpose. This particular application marks a new milestone in the already successful cooperation between Perry & Aktiesport and OTYS. Continue reading. 


According to the sports retailer, OTYS' software makes the recruitment process both more targeted and more efficient. For example, this retail chain uses OTYS' report features to substantiate investments in social media and job boards and adjust where necessary.
 

Employer branding and talent development

In today's tight labor market, employer branding and talent development are success factors for recruitment. "We want the best store managers and sales staff for our 90 stores. Given the scarce supply of skilled and experienced job seekers, this is quite a challenge, especially in our competitive market." This says Remco Bruijns, recruitment coordinator at Perry & Aktiesport. The recruitment team has been using OTYS applications since 2015 to bring vacancies to the attention of candidates in a targeted and attractive way. In doing so, they present Perry & Aktiesport as an appealing employer where you can further develop yourself. For example, through the range of training offered by the Perry & Aktiesport Academy with which talented sales staff can make the step to store manager.

More efficient recruitment process

The expansion with the Line Managers Portal makes the recruitment process even more efficient. Using this solution, store managers can independently carry out the recruitment and selection of new store colleagues directly from the application phase. Allowing them to hire sales associates themselves who they think are the best fit for their particular location. "We have about two hundred vacancies open every week. Now that the store managers handle the applications of temporary and permanent sales employees themselves, it saves our corporate recruiters a lot of time. We can now spend that time on online recruitment and employment branding," Bruijns says.
 

Quickly publish new job openings

Perry & Aktiesport work with several modules of OTYS Go!, which is the cloud-based recruitment software of OTYS. Bruijns praises the way these modules seamlessly work together at the very front end of the recruitment process. "We create our vacancies and other content for employer branding with OTYS' content management system. With a few clicks, a vacancy can be posted in the correct format on our jobsite, which was also developed by OTYS. And with the same ease, we post the vacancy to social media and job boards." In a dynamic and tight candidate market, that speed is very important, according to Bruijns.

Clear workflow

The OTYS Selection & Procedure module helps Perry & Aktiesport to put applicants into its database of candidates with the correct data per vacancy. But also to monitor the workflow of tasks and actions per vacancy and candidate. 
"This way we keep our workflow clear and we can set the right priorities," Bruijns said. Within OTYS, all kinds of separate applications for activities within the workflow are smoothly integrated with each other. Think of the email and calendar management functions. OTYS consequently functions as integral office software for the recruitment process. Bruijns: " Personally, I only use the OTYS mail client for all communication regarding vacancies and candidates."
 

Useful OTYS features

Every OTYS Go! module is teeming with useful features that are available thanks to external (API) connections with OTYS partner applications. For example, Perry & Aktiesport uses an application from Textkernel for CV Parsing. This feature automatically converts resumes that are sent by e-mail into a copy of the CV that enables the candidate database to work optimally. 

OTYS collaborates with numerous suppliers of CRM and recruitment software in order to continue to deliver innovative features. It ensures well-functioning links and integrations. Not only for the front office functionalities within the recruitment process, but also for the integration with back office software for, for example, time registration, payroll, invoicing and financial administration. As a result, OTYS does not have to supply this software itself and can therefore continue to focus on its core business: developing and supplying recruitment software.
